Following the notorious earthquake/tsunami of March 11, Japan’s libraries reflect the state of total chaos in their locales. Japan’s Twitterers have uploaded thousands of photos from different university/school/community libraries, showing the massive disarray that has befallen their stacks. One can only imagine that the havoc within these libraries is relatively proportional to the mayhem without. One can easily estimate the effort it will take to organize & re-shelve this devastation, tome-by-tome. Ironically, these pics would be great advertisements for e-readers.
